Angela Russell, Communications Consultant

Black Sheep

“Information may make them listen … but inspiration will ensure they remember.” – Angela Russell

Untitled1Angela Russell has never been one to follow a crowd, (unless it’s to a great restaurant), and so it’s no surprise that her communications style doesn’t fit into a box. Her unique philosophy on communication comes from decades of experience as a multi-media communications expert. She has led teams of professionals as a broadcast journalist, television screenwriter, and most recently, as a communications consultant for companies like Alaska Air Group and Nielson. When it comes to creating lasting professional presence, Angela believes it’s not about perfection, but about connection, and she’s passionate about helping people make consistent meaningful connections with their audiences.

She has spent more than 20 years connecting with audiences across the country, reporting and anchoring the news in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and most recently Seattle, where she won an Emmy Award for Best Anchor.

Angela has a wealth and breadth of experience that uniquely positions her to guide people through the most challenging circumstances. In 2010, she was one of the first wave of reporters in Haiti after the earthquake, where she followed the rescue and recovery effort. Angela’s follow up questions during a 2011 interview with President Barack Obama, led to a response that made national headlines. She’s also guest co-hosted ABC’s The View.

Angela loves sharing her knowledge and insights from these experiences with executives looking to polish up their presence for broadcast or take their presentations from informational to inspirational.

In addition to her consulting work, Angela does special reporting for NBC in Seattle and is a sought-after speaker and host, working for companies like T-Mobile, Amazon, and Boeing. She and her two young daughters reside in Seattle, Washington.
